You can sign up for a health insurance plan online, directly from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), through a licensed insurance agent, or through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Any of these places can help you find health insurance that meets your needs and fits your budget.

Four ways to sign up for health insurance:

1. Visit BCBSIL.com or call 888-809-2810.

You can sign up for a health insurance plan online directly from us. You can also call us! Working through us you’ll be able to view and compare all BCBSIL plans including the plans offered on the Marketplace.

2. Find a free seminar online from a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Think Blue representative

Our trusted community specialists can give you the one-on-one help you need to shop for health insurance during open enrollment. Open enrollment is the only time you can sign up for a health plan unless you meet the qualifications for a special enrollment period.

3. Contact a licensed Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois health insurance agent

You can work directly with a BCBSIL licensed insurance agent near you. An agent can help you find the health plan that’s best for you.

The Marketplace is a federal government website where you can shop, compare and buy plans offered by participating health insurance companies in your area.
