Get Help Paying for Your Health Insurance
You may qualify for financial assistance to help pay for your coverage. The amount depends on your income and family size. When you visit the Marketplace, you’ll find out if you qualify for financial assistance, and you’ll be able to see what your lower premium will be. Some people may also qualify for low-cost coverage through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Under the Affordable Care Act, you may be able to get help paying for your health insurance through one or both of these options:
Premium tax credit
A credit that lowers your monthly premium.
